Here is a rib repair. A portion of the glazing stop was missing as
well as the rib being broken. Each piece of the sash was identified (blue
tape) before disassembly. The sash was disassembled and the missing pieces
made and glued in place. The window was reassembled using the original wood
pegs.
All replacement pieces were made from wood of the same approximate
age and density.
To the right is the sash after repairs and assembly. The white substance is
epoxy used to fill areas of damage and where soft wood had weathered away.
